Dr. Jim Pojar is an American-Canadian field botanist, forester, and ecologist known for his work in British Columbia. He earned a PhD in botany from the University of British Columbia in 1974 and authored or co-authored several scientific works and widely used plant field guides, including the bestselling Plants of Coastal British Columbia.
