Dr. David Alan Stern

Dr. David Alan Stern is a renowned accent and dialect coach, author, and professor who earned a BFA in Theatre/Performance from the University of Connecticut in 1969 and a PhD in Speech from Temple University in 1975. He founded Dialect Accent Specialists in Hollywood in 1980, coached actors on film and TV projects, taught at UConn as Professor of Dramatic Arts from 1993 until his 2018 retirement, and has authored books like 'Acting With an Accent Standard British' and 'Acting With an Accent/American Southern'. Since retiring, he focuses on website development, audio products, and one-on-one coaching.
