Douglas R Hofstadter

Douglas Richard Hofstadter is an American cognitive scientist and computer scientist known for his work on consciousness, analogy-making, artificial intelligence, and the nature of self. He is best known for the Pulitzer Prize-winning book "Gödel, Escher, Bach: An Eternal Golden Braid" and later works such as "I Am a Strange Loop".
