Douglas Kirkland
Douglas Kirkland was a Canadian-born American photographer renowned for his celebrity portraits and photojournalism work spanning over 50 years. He is particularly celebrated for his intimate photographs of Marilyn Monroe taken in 1961, and worked on the sets of over 100 motion pictures including Titanic, 2001: A Space Odyssey, and Moulin Rouge. His work is held in prestigious collections including the Smithsonian and the National Portrait Gallery in London.
