Dorothy McDaniel

Dorothy Sarris McDaniel is the founder and proprietor of Dorothy McDaniel’s Flower Market in Birmingham, Alabama, which she started in 1977 after working as a criminologist and part-time sociology professor at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Born and raised in Birmingham, she pursued her passion for fresh-cut flower arranging, authoring two books: *Dorothy’s Simply Beautiful Flowers* and *Flowers by Dorothy McDaniel*.[1][5]
