Dorothy Clarke Wilson

Dorothy Clarke Wilson (1904–2003) was an American writer best known for her historical and religious novels, including Prince of Egypt, which was a source for the film The Ten Commandments. She also wrote biographies, memoirs, essays, poems, and plays, with notable works on figures such as Dorothea Dix, Elizabeth Blackwell, Dolley Madison, and Martha Washington.
