Donny Cates

Donny Cates is an American comic book writer known for his groundbreaking work on Marvel titles including Venom, Thanos, Guardians of the Galaxy, Thor, Absolute Carnage, and King in Black, as well as original series like God Country, Redneck, Babyteeth, and Crossover.[1][2][5] Originally from the town that inspired King of the Hill, he now lives in Austin, Texas.[1][5] In early 2023, he survived a near-fatal car accident resulting in a subdural hematoma, spinal issues, and memory challenges.[3]
