Donna L. Akers

Donna L. Akers, PhD, is an enrolled citizen of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma and an associate professor of Native American history and culture.[4] She is the author of two books: Living in the Land of Death: The Choctaw Nation, 1830-1860, and Culture and Customs of the Choctaw Indians.[2] Her scholarly work focuses on Choctaw history and cultural studies.
