Donald T. Critchlow

Donald T. Critchlow is an American historian specializing in twentieth-century U.S. social, cultural, and political history, particularly conservatism, family planning, and the Republican Party. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley in 1978 and held faculty positions at institutions including North Central College, University of Dayton, University of Notre Dame, Saint Louis University, and currently Arizona State University as the Katzin Family Professor and director of the Center for Political Thought and Leadership. Author of over twenty books such as *Phyllis Schlafly and Grassroots Conservatism* and *The Conservative Ascendancy*, he is also the founding editor of the *Journal of Policy History*.[1][2][3][5][6]
