Donald Rooum
Donald Rooum (1928-2019) was a British anarchist cartoonist best known for his *Wildcat* comic strip and collections published by Freedom Press. Born in Bradford, England, he became an anarchist at age 16, worked in advertising and taught typographic design at the London College of Printing until early retirement, and contributed cartoons to publications like *Private Eye*, *Peace News*, and *The Spectator*. He gained brief fame for exposing police corruption during a 1963 demonstration.[1][3][5][7]
