Don Pendleton
Donald Eugene Pendleton (1927–1995) was an American author of fiction and non-fiction, best known for creating the Mack Bolan 'Executioner' series in 1969, which sold hundreds of millions of copies worldwide. He wrote over 100 books under his name and pseudonyms, including poetry, essays, and screenplays, before the Bolan series continued under other authors from 1980. Pendleton dropped out of school at 14, served in the military, and died of a heart attack in Sedona, Arizona.
