Don Oberdorfer

Don Oberdorfer (1931–2015) was an acclaimed American journalist and academic who served as a diplomatic correspondent for The Washington Post for 25 years, covering major global events from the Vietnam War to the collapse of the Soviet Union. After retiring from the press in 1993, he became a journalist-in-residence at Johns Hopkins University's Nitze School of Advanced International Studies and was a noted scholar on Korea. He authored influential books including 'Tet!: The Turning Point in the Vietnam War' and 'The Turn: From the Cold War to a New Era'.
