Dirk Gringhuis

Richard H. 'Dirk' Gringhuis (1918–1974) was an American illustrator and author born in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He illustrated the 39th official Oz book, The Hidden Valley of Oz (1951), and authored works like Lore of the Great Turtle: Indian Legends of Mackinac, focusing on Michigan history.[1][2][3][4]
