Dick Goddard

Richard Duane Goddard was an American television meteorologist, author, cartoonist, and animal activist who had a legendary 51-year career in weather forecasting. From 1966 until his retirement in 2016, he served as the evening meteorologist at WJW-TV in Cleveland, Ohio, and was the first meteorologist to appear on Cleveland television. He holds the Guinness World Record for the longest career as a weather forecaster and was known for his soft-spoken, quirky forecasts and humorous personal essays.
