Diana Wynne Jones
Diana Wynne Jones (1934–2011) was a prolific British fantasy novelist, poet, academic, and literary critic, best known for writing over 40 books for children and young adults featuring magic, wizards, and imaginative worlds.[1][2] Her works, such as Howl’s Moving Castle, blend fantasy with elements of science fiction and realism, often drawing from her disrupted childhood during World War II.[1][3] She received awards including the World Fantasy Award for lifetime achievement in 2007.[6]
