Diana Hendry

Diana Hendry, born October 2, 1941, in Wirral, Merseyside, England, is a British poet, short story writer, and prolific author of over forty children's books, including the Whitbread Award-winning *Harvey Angell* (1991).[1][2][3] She worked as a journalist, English teacher, and creative writing tutor at institutions like the University of Bristol and Open University, and served as Writer-in-Residence at Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary (1997-98).[1][2] Now living in Edinburgh, she continues to publish poetry and review fiction for *The Spectator*.[2]
