Diana Gabaldon

Diana Gabaldon is an American author best known for her Outlander series, which blends historical fiction, romance, science fiction, and adventure, following a World War II nurse who time-travels to 18th-century Scotland.[1][2] She holds degrees in zoology, marine biology, and a Ph.D. in quantitative behavioral ecology, worked as a university professor, and wrote comic book scripts before publishing Outlander in 1991.[3] Her books have been translated into dozens of languages, adapted into a Starz TV series, and continue to top bestseller lists.[1][3]
