Dennis Lehane

Dennis Lehane is an American author and screenwriter born and raised in Dorchester, Boston, Massachusetts. His debut novel A Drink Before the War (1994) won the Shamus Award, launching a career with over a dozen novels translated into more than 30 languages, including bestsellers like Mystic River, Shutter Island, and Small Mercies. He has also worked as a writer-producer on acclaimed TV series such as The Wire, Boardwalk Empire, and Black Bird.
