Denise Pope ,

Denise Pope, Ph.D., is a senior lecturer at Stanford University's Graduate School of Education specializing in student engagement, curriculum studies, and service learning. She is the award-winning author of 'Doing School: How We Are Creating a Generation of Stressed Out, Materialistic, and Miseducated Students' (2001) and co-author of 'Overloaded and Underprepared' (2015). Pope co-founded the nonprofit Challenge Success to help schools and families implement research-based strategies for healthier student well-being and academic integrity.
