Debra D. Felton

Debbie Felton is a Professor of Classics at the University of Massachusetts Amherst specializing in folklore in classical literature, particularly supernatural and monstrous themes. She holds a B.A. in English & Latin from UCLA and an M.A. in Greek and Ph.D. in Classics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and has taught at UMass since 1999. She is the editor of the journal Preternature: Critical and Historical Studies on the Preternatural and has authored works including Monsters and Monarchs: Serial Killers in Classical Myth and History.
