Deborah Mitford

Deborah Mitford, later Deborah Cavendish, Duchess of Devonshire, was an English aristocrat, memoirist, writer, and socialite, and the youngest of the six Mitford sisters. Born into one of Britain’s most famous families, she became the Duchess of Devonshire in 1950 and was widely known for her wit, resilience, and stewardship of Chatsworth House.
