Deborah Lynn Ellis

Deborah Ellis is a Canadian award-winning author and activist born in Cochrane, Ontario. She is best known for her international bestseller The Breadwinner series, which focuses on the lives of persecuted children in the Third World. Ellis is a passionate advocate for the disenfranchised and has donated over one million dollars in royalties to charitable causes including UNICEF and Street Kids International.
