Deborah Gibson Holloway
Deborah Ann Gibson, known professionally as Debbie Gibson, is an American singer-songwriter, actress, and record producer who rose to fame in the late 1980s as a teen pop idol. Born in Brooklyn, New York, and raised on Long Island, she released her debut album Out of the Blue at age 16, writing and producing much of the material, including her #1 hit 'Foolish Beat,' making her the youngest female artist to solely write, produce, and perform a Billboard Hot 100 #1. She holds multiple records, including being the only female artist to achieve this feat with two songs, has sold over 16 million albums worldwide, and has appeared in Broadway productions like Les Misérables and Grease.
