Deborah Crombie
Deborah Crombie (née Darden) is an American author best known for her Duncan Kincaid/Gemma James mystery series set in the United Kingdom. Born in Dallas, Texas, in 1952, she studied biology at Austin College, lived in the UK with her first husband, and now resides in McKinney, Texas, with her husband, German shepherds, and cats. Her novels have earned Edgar, Macavity, and Agatha nominations, with Dreaming of the Bones named a New York Times Notable Book.
