Deborah Barton

Deborah Barton is a historian and academic specializing in German women journalists during the Nazi era and post-war period. She authored *Writing and Rewriting the Reich: Women Journalists in the Nazi and Post-War Press*, published by University of Toronto Press, which examines the careers of over 1,500 women journalists amid Nazi sexism and propaganda. Her 2015 PhD thesis from the University of Toronto, 'From Dictatorship to Democracy: German Women Journalists, 1933-1945,' forms the basis of her research on this topic.[1][2]
