David Yates

David Yates is an English film director, producer, and screenwriter best known for directing the final four films in the Harry Potter series and the first three films in the Fantastic Beasts prequel series.[1][2][4] He began his career with award-winning short films and television projects, including the political thriller State of Play (2003) and the Emmy-winning The Girl in the Café (2005), before transitioning to major feature films.[2][3][4] Yates is a founding member of Directors UK and has also directed films like The Legend of Tarzan (2016) and Pain Hustlers (2023).[1][2]
