David Wilson
David Wilson (September 17, 1818 – June 9, 1870) was an American lawyer, writer, and politician from New York. He is best known for editing and publishing *Twelve Years a Slave*, the memoir of Solomon Northup, in 1853, after meeting Northup through Orville Clark. Wilson graduated from Union College in 1840, studied law, and was admitted to the bar in 1843.[1]
