David W. Macdonald
David W. Macdonald is a British zoologist and conservation biologist, born in 1951, who became internationally known for his early research on red foxes. He founded the Wildlife Conservation Research Unit (WildCRU) at the University of Oxford in 1986 and has written extensively on carnivores, biodiversity conservation, and wildlife policy through books, papers, and documentaries.
