David Toomey

David Toomey is a Professor of English and Co-Director of the Professional Writing and Technical Communication Program at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst. He teaches courses in writing and the history of science, and holds a Ph.D. in English Literature from the University of Virginia. He is the author of several nonfiction books including The New Time Travelers, Stormchasers, and Kingdom of Play.
