David S. Jordan

David Starr Jordan (1851–1931) was a renowned American ichthyologist, educator, and the founding president of Stanford University, serving from 1891 to 1913. He was also a prominent eugenicist who advocated for the sterilization of individuals deemed 'unfit,' and a noted peace activist and conservationist.
