David Park

David Park is a Northern Irish novelist and poet born in 1953 in Belfast, known for his introspective works exploring family, love, and grief, including the acclaimed novel 'The Light of Amsterdam'. He grew up in a Protestant working-class family in East Belfast and attended Queen's University, Belfast, where he earned a BA degree in 1975. Park has won multiple literary awards, including the Authors' Club First Novel Award and the Bass Ireland Arts Award for Literature.
