David P. Silverman
David P. Silverman is the Eckley Brinton Coxe, Jr. Professor of Egyptology in the Department of Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations at the University of Pennsylvania, appointed as a Kolb Senior Fellow in 1996.[1][2] He serves as Curator in Charge of the Egyptian Section at the Penn Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology, renowned for his expertise in ancient Egyptian language, art, religion, and major exhibitions like 'Tutankhamun and the Golden Age of the Pharaohs'.[2][3] Silverman is also known for his public education efforts, including Coursera courses on ancient Egypt.
