David P Gushee

David P. Gushee (born June 17, 1962) is a Christian ethicist, Baptist pastor, author, and Distinguished University Professor of Christian Ethics at Mercer University. He is known for his activism on climate change, torture, LGBT inclusion, and post-evangelicalism, and has authored or edited 29 books on Christian social ethics. His most influential works include Kingdom Ethics (2003) and Changing Our Mind (2014), and he serves as the elected former president of both the American Academy of Religion and the Society of Christian Ethics.
