David McPhail
David McPhail, born June 30, 1940, in Newburyport, Massachusetts, is an acclaimed American author and illustrator of children's books since 1971 and 1967, respectively. Before his literary career, he worked various jobs including guitarist in rock bands, factory worker, truck driver, and shipping clerk, and studied at Vesper George University and the Boston Museum of Fine Arts School. He has created over 80 books, including popular titles like Pigs Aplenty, Pigs Galore! and his creative autobiography In Flight with David McPhail, and resides in Newburyport, MA.
