David Ludwig

David S. Ludwig, MD, PhD (born December 24, 1957) is an American endocrinologist, researcher, and professor of pediatrics at Harvard Medical School and nutrition at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.[1][2] He is co-director of the New Balance Foundation Obesity Prevention Center at Boston Children’s Hospital and founder of the Optimal Weight for Life (OWL) program for overweight children, advocating low-carbohydrate diets and the carbohydrate-insulin model of obesity.[1][2][6] Ludwig has authored bestselling books like *Always Hungry?* and published over 250 scientific articles on diet, metabolism, and weight.[2][6]
