David Lucas

David Lucas is a British author and illustrator known for his critically acclaimed picture books including Halibut Jackson, The Robot and the Bluebird, and The Wonderbird.[1][2] Born in Middlesbrough and raised in Hackney, East London, he studied illustration at the Royal College of Art and has made his living from picture books since 2002.[5][7][8] Most of his works are autobiographical, and he has written and illustrated eighteen books translated into twelve languages.[1]
