David HOWARTH

David Armine Howarth was a British naval officer, boatbuilder, historian, and author known especially for his war histories and books on major episodes in British and European history. During World War II, he served in the Royal Navy and later became known as a self-taught historian, with works such as "The Shetland Bus" helping establish his reputation.
