David H. Lester

David Lester is a British-American psychologist and suicidologist born in London, England in 1942, who emigrated to the USA in 1964 for graduate study and has published over 2,000 academic papers on suicide, murder, and the death penalty. He served as Professor of Psychology at Richard Stockton College (now Stockton University) in New Jersey from 1971 until becoming an emeritus professor. His scholarly work focuses on topics including life after death, the fear of death, and the death penalty, alongside an unpublished detective story.
