David Elliott
David Elliott (born 1947) is an American children's author known for his humorous books in verse and prose, including bestselling series like On the Farm, In the Wild, In the Sea, On the Wing, and In the Past, as well as verse novels such as Bull and Voices: The Final Hours of Joan of Arc. Born and raised in a small town in Ohio, he taught creative writing, adolescent literature, and playwriting at Colby-Sawyer College in New Hampshire from 1998 to 2013. He has worked diverse jobs worldwide, including as a singer in Mexico and a cucumber-washer in Greece, and lives in New Hampshire with his wife.
