David Eddings
David Carroll Eddings was an American fantasy writer born in Spokane, Washington, who became a bestselling author after publishing his first novel in 1973. Along with his wife Leigh, he authored several epic fantasy series including The Belgariad, The Malloreon, The Elenium, The Tamuli, and The Dreamers, writing over two dozen novels throughout his career. Before becoming a full-time writer, he worked as a purchasing agent for Boeing, a grocery store manager, and a college instructor.
