David E. Sadava

David E. Sadava is the Pritzker Family Foundation Professor of Biology, Emeritus, at the Keck Science Center of Claremont McKenna, Pitzer, and Scripps Colleges, where he taught for 37 years before retiring.[1][5] He is also Adjunct Professor of Cancer Cell Biology at the City of Hope Medical Center and a member of the National Academy of Sciences and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.[5] Sadava is best known as co-author of the widely used biology textbook Life: The Science of Biology, first published in 1983 and now in its twelfth edition, along with books on cell biology, biotechnology, and genetics.[2][5][9]
