David Brown

David Brown (1803-1886) was a Scottish theologian, minister, and professor born in Aberdeen, son of a bookseller who served as Provost. He graduated M.A. from Marischal College in 1821, served as assistant to Edward Irving in London, ministered at The Ord and St. James’ Free Church in Glasgow, and was appointed professor at Free Church College, Aberdeen in 1857, where he taught for thirty years, authoring influential works like Christ's Second Advent and Exegetics of the Gospels.[1]
