David Allen Sibley
David Allen Sibley, born October 22, 1961, in Plattsburgh, New York, is an American ornithologist, author, and illustrator renowned for his comprehensive bird field guides. The son of ornithologist Fred Sibley, he began drawing birds at age seven and spent over two decades creating *The Sibley Guide to Birds*, published in 2000, which became the fastest-selling bird book in history and established him as a leading figure in birding.[1][2][3][4]
