David A. Bell

David A. Bell is an American historian specializing in French history and the early modern and modern Europe, with a focus on the political culture of Enlightenment and revolutionary France. He is a professor of history at Princeton University and has written books including Men on Horseback: The Power of Charisma in the Age of Revolution.
