Darlene R Stille

Darlene Ruth Stille (1942–2017) was an American science writer and editor, best known for authoring over 80 nonfiction books for young readers on topics like science, history, and biographies. She earned a B.A. in English from the University of Illinois in 1965 and had a distinguished career in reference publishing, including roles at Encyclopedia Britannica, Compton's Encyclopedia, and World Book, where she advanced to editor-in-chief of annual supplements before becoming a full-time writer in 2003.
