Daphne Swabey

Daphne Swabey (1902–1988) was a British philosopher known for her work in metaphysics, ethics, and the philosophy of logic. She co-authored 'Logic and Argument' with her husband, Henry Swabey, and published 'The Judaeo-Christian Tradition' and 'Faith and Reason,' defending a realist and theistic worldview against logical positivism. Her writings emphasized the importance of metaphysical realism and critiqued empiricist reductions of knowledge.
