Daniel S. Dupre

Daniel S. Dupre is a historian and Professor at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte who specializes in the history of the American South, particularly Alabama's development from European exploration through the antebellum period.[1][4] He has spent a large portion of his career researching and writing about this era, authoring works including *Transforming the Cotton Frontier: Madison County, Alabama, 1800-1840* and *Alabama's Frontiers and the Rise of the Old South*.[1]
