Daniel Kirk (Author, Illustrator)

Daniel Kirk, born in 1952, is an acclaimed author and illustrator of over 40 children's books, including the best-selling Library Mouse series, Rhino in the House, and titles like Trash Trucks! and Snow Dude. A graduate of Ohio State University in 1974 with degrees in fine art and education, he taught art before becoming a professional illustrator whose work appeared on covers of Newsweek, Business Week, and others, later transitioning to children's literature after his first child. He lives in Glen Ridge, New Jersey, with his wife, author-illustrator Julia Gordon.
