Daniel C. Abel

Daniel C. Abel is a Professor of Marine Science at Coastal Carolina University in Conway, South Carolina, specializing in shark ecology and physiology. He earned his M.Sc. in marine biology from the College of Charleston and his Ph.D. from UC San Diego's Scripps Institution of Oceanography, and is the co-author of books including The Lives of Sharks and Tooth and Claw: Top Predators of the World. He is a native South Carolinian who resides in Pawley's Island, SC.
