Damon Gause

Damon Jesse Gause, nicknamed "Rocky," was an American World War II Army Air Forces officer known for surviving a dramatic escape from the Philippines and later serving as a P-47 pilot in Europe. He was born in Fort Valley, Georgia, in 1915 and died in a test-flight crash near Beaulieu, England, in 1944.[1][2][3][7][9]
